I fucking loved this game, though I understand why people didn't. The lack of any personality/dialogue from the custom party characters is a turn off for a lot of folks, but I didn't mind it at all.

it might just be best to emulate it so you can use the save editor to get the dlc easily.

I played it for over 300 hours. I really love this game. The sidequests are well made and it has a great charm to it. The grottos were also very addicting.

DQ XI sold 3 million copies in 3 days and it will arguably have the biggest sales in the west of the entire franchise.
