Does anyone else find this game really difficult? Please don't tell me I'm alone...

it really was something
Honestly yeah. Some later bosses are taking me a few tries. Especially oil ocean zone.
It makes me happy though cause Sega usually tones the difficulty of Sonic games way down to cater to little kids and that doesnt seem to be the case here.

>_>
I've only just gotten through Flying Battery Zone after about 4 game overs... Adding to the several game overs i already had on previous zones...
It's not that it's hard as such though, its just that i'm old now and I suck at gaming now. 8 year-old me would be fuckin ashamed.
Also, i can't do the blue spheres for shit either.
Damn.

The game is easy.
Fucking Sonic 3 is harder than this. Even the UFO stages are easier than the Blue Spheres in Sonic 3.

you are old and suck at games. Time to give up and move onto new hobbies.
Some of the bosses are a little wonky, particularly the spider. But replaying it, Mania will be much easier than the original trilogy.
It's harder than your average sonic game but not by much

To be fair,Last boss on Flying Battery is pretty hard if you have fuck all coins.
I keep getting my ass whooped by metal sonic in Stardust Speedway. It sucks having to do the whole zone again once you get Game Over.

You ain't alone, buddy. Coming back to a Sonic game after years is pretty rough.

I was always poor at sonic games but I was scraping through with only one game over until Mirage Saloon Act 1. What a cunt of a level if you've no lives.
I will complete this game and get all the emeralds/special stages (maybe not perfects at my age). Learning levels like this has made me feel young again. I feel my next playthroughs will get better and better.
