I'm posting from my PS4 browser and I can't play you, but I fucking love the game and want you to get a match. I have a shit load of Chess games. Some aren't half bad AI wise, but most of the time it's just pulling from all the best matches ever played. A human is the only right way to play, in person is best.

I don't know how to play chess but I'll give you a bump.

I used to play chess against the Windows XP easy AI fairly frequently as a kid, when I just played the default Windows games. I think it shaped a lot of my problem solving processes, as the game comes fairly naturally to me despite not having much experience besides throwaway summer days when the internet wasn't working.

Thanks for reminding me how fun chess is.

that feeling, that it's all just patterns, goes away if you tough it out btw. something as small as a pawn one square differently placed can and does change the nuance of a given position, and what would work in the first pattern you've seen, gets you nothing in the reality of the position you're in. I will give you that chess is a game with a big learning curve though

Age category is irrelevant, it's what your elo is. I entered a 0 elo tourney and tied for first though everyone was like 7-9 but that's what happened when your city produces some of the best chess players in the world. My other 2 classmates got btfo'd early on. If only I started chess sooner, that was my only official tournament because I was a senior.

Rematch when I'm not on mobile or at work. Was a fun match anyways
