Sonic Boom's version of Knuckles, still hate the design and somewhat still hate how he is now a giant idiots but as a character at least he exist. To be fair the original Knuckles fell for Robotnik trick twice iirc so he wasn't really that bright from the start, they only make it much more obvious. The Sonic Boom cartoon is god tier and is most likely the only thing saving the series that isn't a fan-made game atm.

The character connection and relationship to Alkaid was more sincere and emotional anyway.

Why couldn't they just label them as bad people or those who wronged you? You have plenty of social links with good spirited adults like Sojiro new lady doctor lady and gun dude for examples. Why the fuck does it matter how old some dude is? It comes off as childish. But then again so does most of the game since Shido well being a murderous psychopath had immense charisma and despite wanting the election as a title itself would've probably put the same effort in destroying his competition to running it.
