What did you think of Alien Isolation, /v/? Worth 12 bucks?

It was the best game of 2014 so yes buy it now.
If you at all like Alien or horror I see no reason not to play it,

I've only seen the first two Alien movies but I like them a lot, the Xenomorph is a cool monster and Ripley a cute.

Well good you should play it then I have yet to see anyone who likes Alien hate Alien Isolation.
It captures the movie perfectly and is the best piece of Alien media since Alien 3.

If you are thinking of getting it on the ps4 I would highly recommend against it. It's locked to 30 frames a second and feels really sluggish to play, I don't know why because on PC it's impressively well optimized. If you have even a mid level pc get it there.

One of the worst inconvenience in the game is the tether between you and the alien being way too tight, making some levels pretty frustrating and less scarier after a while.
Just so you know that on pc there's a mod that let him roam more freely for more unpredictable behavior.

Its good, the crafting is a pain and the game drags on with too many false climaxes, but other than that it is better than any of the movies post-Aliens

They're alright, though i only played the Crew Expandable and the other one where you play as Ellen (both story DLCs take place during the events of the first game). It's like another 1hr of content to play
