While you can algorithmically solve a lot of it, there's no way to succeed 100% of the time algorithmically without savescumming. There's no need to savescum though since you the fail state doesn't involve losing money. It's easy enough, but tedious. Anything that could be easily automated makes boring grindy gameplay.
