Just from initial observation the title "Agents of Mayhem" comes across generic. Like they couldn't have come up with a slightly less stock standard name for the game that sets it apart fromother games? Watching the trailer the cast of characters doesn't seem to be anything outside of tropes we've been seeing for years, Johnny Gat himself is a tired meme of a character who was only good in SR 1 and 2.

The whole aesthetic might be dated too, it just seems out of place like a second tier gen 7 game.

You're a fucking idiot. Word of mouth and social media exposure is free additional advertising, but that's not going to mean jack shit if no one knows about the game in the first place. The only way you could rely on word of mouth and social media exposure as your only source of marketing is if your game is a smash hit that gets super popular over night, and those games are pretty rare to come across to begin with, but I guess that doesn't matter since it doesn't sound like this game is very good anyway. From the videos I've seen, it looks pretty shitty and buggy as fuck so I guess they're at least cutting their losses by not blowing all their money on advertising and getting minimal profits in return.
