When this started becoming a thing it made me so fucking mad, fuck you for reminding me
>>387318226
That's the number one reason I gave up on BL2. Well, that and the fact that I found it incredibly slow paced and boring compared to the first. I still haven't played any of the DLC, not even Tiny Tina's.
>people falling for hype culture
>not being an informed consumer and waiting for the game to release, waiting a while, and reading/watching reviews first

It will be when people realize mods will be locked to it i the future and no TnA will be allowed.
>>387314775
Neofags, not shills.
I fucking hate """artists"'" who are the ones who support this type of shit.
Beth game modding is more asset fuckery than autistic code fuckery, so beth modders are extremely scummy people.
The funny thing is that it's possible to pay modders using click/adshekels, without locking shit behind a paywall, and curse has been doing this for a while, especially with minecraft. The even funnier thing is all the bad things that people say actually paid mods would bring - low effort shit, copy pasting, creative bankrupcy - still happened despite the fact that minecraft modding actually requires a fair bit of technical and programming skill, far far more than anything beth modding takes, and that the mods weren't actually locked behind a paywall.

"Summer 2017"
WHEN THE FUCK IS CREATION CLUB LAUNCHING BETH JEWS
Did the reaction make them reconsider?
>>387319609
>low effort shit, copy pasting, creative bankrupcy
I thought the primary argument was more that it would encourage Beth, a company already know for shitting out buggy messes, to shit out even bigger, buggier, shittier messes, knowing that they'll actually get paid when the community patches them. The number one mod on Nexus for pretty much all of Bethesda games is an unofficial bugfix patch. Imagine how bad it would be if you had to pay for that. Why would Bethesda bother making any free bugfix patches of their own?
>>387313146
>periodic updates to released console games.
>>387320089
This was back during the original paid mods debacle, not when they said they were going to "community outsource dlc".
>>387313146
> Hey we got vr running and its basically a much bigger jump than 2d to 3d ever was, its absolutely crazy.. so how do we proceed with this literal goldmine
>well lets make some minigame collections and 2 hour full price crap.
>but sir shouldnt we focus our aaa teams on this maybe even bribe/help/support devs to produce the best vr can be?
>no are you stupid?

>Implying Virtual Boy was remotely similar to modern VR tech
Virtual Boy was all red and was very very low resolution. It didn't even have motion tracking... Not even comparable.
>>387322109
What were the problems the Virtual Boy caused for those who played with it again? Nausea and headaches? Now where have I heard that before...
Look, VR is, of course, better, part due to motion tracking, but it's still flawed. It's more profitable to invest when others have developed for it and gotten the faults out of the system, so you as a big company can build off of that.
>>387319287
Implying people wouldn't just defend it by doing le ironic Toddposting
WoW gets billions of addons from creators increasing the games value - > Valve adds player created skins into the market -> Bethesda tries to mimic them
