Aeris is the aerial version of Morsus, the ground trap. Aeris launches you vertically when used on the ground like the catapault and then launches you horizontally after placing the trap whether it's used midair or on the ground. It's basically catapault but with an attack attached (does hueg stamina drain on hit if it hits weak spots). Practice counterra golda'ing with Morsus and Alma wave and go from there, they have massive counter windows.

If I remember you have to do a few steps of the main quest, then go to the tavern in the Inn area which is where all the guild stuff is managed.
From there it should hopefully be easy to understand the steps if you know Japanese/have the English patch.

The closest thing I want to a Dragon's Dogma MMO over here is a sequel with a co-op Endless Tower. I always envisioned it as the Cave of Trials from Zelda or that pit from Thousand Year Door, only there's no end.

I use Mudfish. Most english speakers use softether.

Mudfish is good for me because it's a rerouting/tunneling service (so it actually lowers ping instead of increasing) which lets me leave it on instead of using the work around to disable it once in game.

Mudfish also ONLY routes the game data through the vpn, the rest of your net service is unaffected. Started using when I was playing XIV.

How much does the game cost in dollars, does it have subscription?

If you want a subscription which offers a lot of QoL benefits (and personally i can't play it without them, but your mileage may vary) then technically it should be $15 but due to playasia being the easiest way to purchase CAP (which you exchange for DDON cash shop currency). $30 on playasia for a 2000 CAP card translates to like $22 worth of actual cash shop money, exchange is a bitch.

You can buy a substantial amount of gameplay affecting benefits but since it's a pve game it's up to you to use them as you like, similar to cheats in single player games.

I wouldn't spend money on anything but the monthly subscription and some exp boosters for when they have an exp event running so you can smash out a few vocations.

you really shouldn't ever have to do anything more than very minor updates. Any time a major patch is released just redownload an up to date version of the client and use that. You certainly shouldn't be trying to download the game through the launcher.

the workaround can be left permanently on, you don't have to do it each time you want to play.

tanks in DDON are responsible for holding aggro, being the only classes able to elementally enchant the parties weapons (which is important) and specialize in inflicting hindering status effects, such as Torpor, sleep, petrifaction, dizzy and Goldify.

Shield Sage is immobile tank that can apply debilitations faster whereas Alchemist is tied for most mobile class in the game and can output more damage than shield sage. SS can also cast Hand of God to negate damage within an area for a while.
