Any of you built/own your own cabinet?

>literally a fuckin cabinet
jesus fuck that looks awful

>widescreen in a game not made for widescreen
Ew.
Did you really build a cabinet with an LCD display?
I'm in the process. I have a raspberry pi set and one set of joystick/buttons. I just need the cabinet and there's a person who makes sweet bartops online for decent prices. Never got around to having the money to do so.
I just bought a real one, I'm picking it up tomorrow
Planning one but I want mine to have several control options rather than just arcade buttons.

This is yours? What lever and buttons are you using?

Did you really build nothing at all?

I turned a broken Mortal Kombat cabinet into a mame cabinet. I didn't do much, just found a 19" 15khz PC monitor and put in plywood shelf to sit it on to replace the broken 25" monitor. Then I made a new control panel top that had a more conventional street fighter style layout.
Here's an old pic. Too bad life kept me from keeping it. I miss my cab.

Why?
Why would I need a cabinet?

that's sexy. this was my first arcade title when I was a kid. would love to own this..

I can have fun playing the same game without an ugly ass giant toy that ruins the house
>>387305790
Not really. Cabinets are extremely stable in a way that isn't easily recreated with an arcade stick. It makes a difference for some games.

Nope but I've always wanted to.
