I really tried to get into the DS game but it just doesn't have the charm of this one. Granted, I haven't played a ton of the DS one. Do the levels get as varied as FFTA? All the maps I played in the DS version were just small flat areas. There wasn't any rivers or verticality

yeah it actually gets alot better but its a slow starter especially compared to the first, even the new races, special unlockable party memebers and new jobs all seem to be way to far into the game
