What are the best Kirby games, in your personal opinion?

Kirby 64 has the ability combos, which is always fun.
Canvas Curse is great because it's much harder than the other ones, although trying to get all the medals is a task for masochists.

I also like the older games where there were a bunch of abilities with one attack, instead of the current "Super Star" ability system where there's a small amount of abilities with a large number of attacks.

Robobot took my expectations of a game, smashed it to pieces, threw it out the window and gave me one of the best handheld titles I've ever played so it's my favorite, very few games have exceeded my expectations like that. SSU honorable mention given how meaty it is.

this. had played maybe like 3 kirby games before robobot and all were really underwhelming(especially the amazing mirror) so I expected robobot to be the same but it turned out great. didn't regret my purchase one bit. people said triple deluxe was similar so I bought that too and while it wasn't as good as robobot, it's still a bunch of fun

My personal favorite was 64, the ability combos were GOAT. Super Star (Ultra), Robobot, and Return to Dreamland (I think that's the name, the multiplayer co-op one for Wii), but only if you had a full house of bros to play it with.

If it counts, Air Ride.

whatever you play play Super Star Ultra, Amazing Mirror and Planet Robobot last, nothing else will live up to them otherwise

Part of 64's unique charm was its weird and blocky art style. You'd have some real difficulty faithfully recreating it in the modern Kirby art style. Bringing animal buddies back since they were intended to be in would also trivialize at least a few puzzles, I think. Really, it's a shitload of work.
