HK isn't even a dedicated platformer, it's a metroidvania. So it's understandable why so many people found a level straight out of Meatboy to be a difficulty spike, and sort of out of place.

I see you already took the honeycomb charm. If you need to compensate for the occasional double life loss, remember to take the first grub charm as well, so you get soul for damage and maybe Deep Focus, for double life recovery. In hindsight, it was doable at a steady progress. Queens gardens made me rage more with those fucking flying mantises placed in some of the jumping sections. That and Trial of Fools. Even Radiance wasn't as bullshit as those parts.
