I played FH for 20 hours in beta and 45 or so during release.

I'd say $30 is still kind of a steep price, especially when taking to account that additional characters are the equivalent of $15 apiece in ingame currency.

Okay, so For Honor really could have been a great game. I played the hell out of it when it came out. But eventually a few things became clear to me.

1: the devs were not particularly interested in fixing the bugs that plagued the game or unfucking the queue system to not take forever

2: The devs were insistent on balancing the game towards the 4v4 modes that nobody really liked playing, at the expense of all the other modes

3: New content was going to be locked behind paywalls in a game that already cost 60$

I wasn't willing to put up with these things, and stopped playing, as did many other people.

The Centurion can combo into confirmed damage from unblockables all day every day, plus stun, plus has a perk that lets his unblockables actually do damage. Basically a stronger Warden.
The Ninja is an even stronger shitter magnet than Orochi. But it has really long range attacks, which are unpunishable even if they wiff, also has double dodge.

Well, you can still dodge and punish, it's just it feels like Cent can punish you so much harder for missing a single hit.
But then again, I'm not really a pro at the game, and I play an underpowered hero myself, so many others feel quite op to me.

It's a very fun game with some serious flaws.
Prepare for imbalance and getting smacked around, a lot. With free weekend over it's mostly the 100k hours + people left.

Ubisoft boasted that in July they had 1.5m users on For honor, don't believe their lies. Matchmaking will match you up with same people very often. That said, It could be better now that skill rating has been added, haven't played since S2 started.

Season 3 will address a lot of the game issues, so if you're lucky it might actually be a great game with some flaws.

Even then it's a bit of a stretch but the wives of samurai were known to train with the Naginata and defend thier homes while thier husbands were away. The idea of them using the naginata was that it overcame the strength advantage men had over them by using range. Other than that it's all crap.

No. for fuck's sake no, it's NOT A GOOD GAME. A fucking tournament was won through abusing an exploit where your attacks turn invisible for god's sake. All people do is use exploits in the game now, even in normal play.
The balancing of the characters suck ass, the connection quality is abysmal, and there's not enough content in the game to be worth the asking price. You will not have fun.
