Terrible servers, awful balance, retardedly grindy and the fact that node wars boil down to who has more people. Small scale PvP is pretty much the only part of the game that's fun, but everyone would rather karma bomb than actually fight.

The endgame is literally just about making money so you can throw it away trying to enchant shit....so that you can get better at making money.

As someone who plays the game nonstop and think it's the best MMO available:

>You NEED to spend ~$120+ on pets for T3+, ~$60 for weight (per character), ~60+ for maids unless you want to interrupt your grind every 60 minutes to offload. $15/mo on the value pack so you can actually use the marketplace. (Pets and Value Packs you can technically buy in-game but your name needs to be ramdomly drawn from 10k+ other people bidding on them)
>Karma system punishes players defending their grind spot and allows others to grief in the form of purposely dying. Entire thing needs to be reworked.

Most other things people complain about just exposes them as casuals. Class balance being the biggest meme of them all.

Probably the worst MMO out today.

Lifeskills are boring, pointless and done whilst afk.
There is no endgame other than PVP, PVP is dominated by people who've grinded for months and fully upgraded their shit, who then kill people who are grinding the shit they need to upgrade their own shit so they don't get literally two-shot.
Game is full of performance issues and graphical issues (hello, neon hair, hello, world not loading in when you enter a town)
Character creator is completely gender and class locked. Sliders, whilst there are a million, go from 0.1 to 0.2. Everyone looks like a kpop idol.
Only 10 armors in the game or so, rest is all cash shop.
The upgrade system is complete RNG and can set you back weeks of grinding.
The PVE consists of aoe farming mobs for hours who don't fight back.
Organized PVP is a massive zerg rush where you spam AoE shit and that's it.


I honestly don't know why anyone would play this. Do people just want to pretend to be a wet korean girl and pretend like they're doing something while they shitpost in chat? Is that what MMOs are now?

Your guild gets silver for controlling nodes which is then paid out to the players. If you had made it past level 56 and +15 gear, you would know this.

WoW and FFXIV, at the very least, have raids that require no or very little grinding to enter and can be cleared with no or very little grinding. To consider these a grind is a bit silly since their completion essentially the end goal, compared to the end goal of BDO being "grind better."

they also have PvP that can be entered and won with no grinding, and FFXIV specifically avoids making grinding a requirement for PvP, beyond the standard leveling process.

FFXIV also has a story that, granted, could be considered a grind if you don't care about it, but is still a pretty big selling point.
