I don't remember how, because I blatantly remember not having an action replay for the gameboy and I had not gotten into action replay until I got a gamecube which obviously came out after silver, and I wasn't into AR until way after.

Considering I was into glitches, I did somehow obtain the GS ball. I don't even remember in any way how I got it, but I do know my pokemon were infected with PKRS and I did trade with my friend [Who had older brothers who might have GS/AR'd her game]. I just assume that, because I did get PKRS around the same time I got the GSBall.

Unfortunately, I never figured it out until later on in life when I was severely uninterested in pokemon silver.

He was living on the Ark with Maria and the professor peacefully. Professor Gerald Robotnik was doing some fucking dirt that threatened the entire planet, which caught the attention of GUN, so they flew up into space to bust his space door down. During this, GUN soldiers stormed the place and basically tore everything up until the point where everyone needed to evacuate. Maria puts Shadow in a capsule and jettisons him to Earth to save his life, telling Shadow to fulfill her wish. Shadow misinterprets this to mean revenge over Maria's death, which he was pretty butthurt about. It's not until the end of the game during the final rush that Shadow remembers that Maria's wish was that she wanted everyone to be happy and that violence doesn't solve anything. Shadow then understands everything that he's been doing and feels the need to atone, so he helps take out the prototype of ultimate life, sacrificing himself to fulfill Maria's wish of giving everyone a chance to live happily.

50 years before the game's events and before Sonic is born, Robonik's grandpa staffs and presumably helped in large part to build an orbiting satellite named the Ark. Grandpa also brings along his granddaughter, who has space AIDs or something and tries a bunch of shit to create a cure. He does science stuff, partly studied the emerdudes, Nips flying island, etc, and devoted a lot of time into making a lifeform immune to disease and age. Eventually he works out making Shadow the Edgehog, but the antagonist military for most of Sonic Adventure 2, shuts his shit down for reasons. Granddaughter dies in the firefight that ensues Shadow gets ejected, and put in stasis and locked up for good for years.

Eggman reads his grandpa's diary and frees Shadow, who he wants to manipulate into gathering the emerdudes, fighting Sonic, and taking control of the Ark to power the death laser it happened to have stashed away. And thus begins Sonic Adventure 2.

If that wasn't dumb enough, Shadow's own game retcons it so that he's filthy Xeno scum. Turns out Grandpa was talking some some fucking aliens that for some reason wanted to eat earth but couldn't, so they would come back in 50 years. He made a bargain to use part of their xenoscum biology and sciences to make Shadow for his grand daughter. In return Shadow would gather the emerdudes for the xenos when they came back so they would warp the comet they lived in to earth and eat everyone. Seeing the shit hand he was dealt grandpa accepts but builds the deathlaser in the Ark for Shadow to shoot at their comet.

He looks like Sonic because he was based on a Tenrec, which is often looks like a hedgehog. Also his spines are up possibly because grandpa based Shadow on Super Sonic in the mural depicted in Sonic 3&K when you fight nips. Instead of Sonic fighting Eggman, he thought it might have been Shadow fighting the Xenos.

Tails stopped Eggman from activating the Nuke that was fired into the center of Station Square, and once Eggman went fucking nuts and decided he would just go on a bloody rampage and level the city himself in his big ass mech, Tails again stopped Eggman, taking him one on one, and upon winning, the citizens of Station Square cheered and threw him a celebration, where the mayor showed up and gave Tails the most prized possession of the city, the Chaos Emerald from their most well known museum.

Not giving up from his first experiment gone wrong in SA, Tails still wanted to find a way to power technology using the pure power of a real Chaos Emerald, and upon learning more about it, Tails actually created the first artificial Chaos Emerald, which is an exact copy of his own, real emerald, except, sadly, the Chaos energy it expels is much harder to use, as it produces unstable wavelengths, and when technology attempts to use that energy, the machine usually gets destroyed.

After Eggman fires off his now 85% powered up Eclipse Cannon at the Moon and destroys a portion of it, he gives the World 24 hours to comply with his demands, or else he will destroy the rest of the moon, and, even the world. Tails tells Sonic, Knuckles and Amy, on their way to Eggman's new base that he plans on locating the Eclipse Cannon, and putting the fake emerald in it, which will cause the eclipse cannon to implode on itself when it charges up energy to fire another laser.

Knuckles ends up wrecking the ship into the Ark preemptively when someone accidentally releases the Master Emerald from the cargo hatch. Now separated, Tails calls Sonic and tells him to head to the cannon, but Eggman, who has noticed there are two separate Chaos Emerald reading on his radar, takes Amy hostage and tells Sonic and Tails to meet him, or else she dies.

Sonic and Tails arrive and meet Eggman in a msall room, where Eggman tells them to bring the Chaos Emerald into the center of the room. Sonic winks at Tails, and they go along with the request, as Sonic begins complimenting the Doctor for finally winning and, without any real resistance, slowly walks towards Eggman, showing the emerald, as he places it there for the doctor.

As he turns around to walk back, Eggman catches Sonic into an escape hatch that was under the floor in the center of the room. Sonic, still cool and composed, tries to outwit Eggman, but Tails, who is super confused, and startled that Eggman knows that Sonic had the fake emerald all along, just naively asks Eggman, "How did you know the emerald was a fake"?

Sonic, whop now knows he is fucked, scolds Tails, all the while Eggman laughs and victoriously cries, "Because YOU just told me, Fox Boy" Now realizing for sure that Sonic was attempting to give the doctor the fake emerald, he decideds to launch the escape hatch with Sonic in it towards Earth, which would normally just mean Sonic would land on Earth injured, however, Eggman has placed a detonator on the pod, which will detonate right as Sonic enters Earth's atmosphere.

Now realizing that Tails has the real Emerald, he tells him to give it up, but Tails, now outraged that Eggman killed Sonic and that Tails is to blame for it, attacks Eggman, and defeats him. In the meanwhile, Sonic remembers Shadow, and how he used Chaos Control to out speed him, as it is a way of controlling time and space, but he questions how he did it, and if it means he can teleport anywhere.

Remembering what Tails said about how the fake emerald has the potential to be as powerful as real emerald, but much more unstable and harder to use, Sonic decides to pray and focus all of his being into the fake emerald, which, miraculously, allows him to use Chaos Control.

However, the Fake Emerald does not transport him back into the room, but rather, to Knuckles

Yeah Gerald decides to have his cake and eat it too, intending Shadow to help Maria and be the savor of the planet. But he goes nuts after GUN shuts him down because they found he was fucking with aliens. With Maria dead, he then has a change of heart and wants everyone to die and use the Ark on the Earth, which is why the Biolizard gets reprogrammed to shove the cannon spire up its ass and blow the Ark on the surface.

Shadow doesn't know what to do and only gets the last part of Gerald's manifesto from when he was in GUN's captivity.

Oh, and it was never outright stated, but it is implied that the reason Sonic was teleported to Knuckles is because Knuckles had the Master Emerald on him at the time, which as we know from SA is the things that maintains the balance of power between the emeralds. Of course, the other theory could simply be that the fake emerald also just brought Sonic closer to the Eclipse Cannon's location, as that is where the other six emeralds remain. This would also explain why Sonic could use the fake emerald so well that he was able to Chaos Control on par with Shadow during their final race/ fight towards the Eclipse Cannon.

Yeah, it is. SA and SA2 do have plot-holes, but the whole, "WAIT, how did Eggman know about the emerald" and, "Why does Tails / Eggman not just make a bunch of fake Emeralds" type of questions can be answered pretty easily.

The only real questions that wen unanswered would end up being why Big was around in the first place (supposedly answered in BBFA3) as well as why Eggman wanted the Master Emerald in the first place when it would have probably done the Eclipse Cannon more harm than good (though Shadow did say that the Chaos Emeralds alone would be enough to power the cannon).

It was based of the mural of Perfect Chaos that can be seen in SA3K and SA.

Biohazard is based upon Perfect Chaos where as Shadow was based around Super Sonic.

Funnily enough, it was the BioHazard that ended up getting Gun riled up and investigating Gerald more in the first place, and even once Shadow was created, they were unsure of Gerald, and even feared that Shadow could be unstable too. Next thing you know, they make up some shit about Space Aids once they notice Maria getting mysteriously sick aboard the ark and then GUN uses that as an excuse to murder everyone there, in order to "quarantine" the location.

It also did not help when Black Doom showed up and they overheard Gerald LITERALLY making deals with the devil. Yet again, without Black Doom Shadow would have never been finished in the first place.

Alright, so there was mural in S3&K that depicted Doctor Robotnik doing battle with Super Sonic in a fight for the Master Emerald. In the manual of the game, it speaks of a vicious God that destroyed the civilization of Angel Island long ago when they fought over the Master Emerald. In SA, which happens right after, there is a huge temple that resides where the capital of that ancient civilization once gathered. Deep inside that temple is a large mural that depicts the events of what happened, and the largest mural of them all is a plate affixed to wall that shows Perfect Chaos at the end of the rampage.

The civilization in question are Knuckles' ancestors, and the last of them bestowed a duty for each child to to take turns protecting the Master Emerald, but as Knuckles is the very last of his kind, the duty falls on him, alone. Before being sent onto the ARK, Gerald Robotnik saw the mural of Perfect Chaos and believed that the "Ultimate Life-Form" must resemble that creature. Needless to say, it was a success, but the creature required a Life Support machine, so the Doctor saw it as a failure and locked it away, deep in the ARK, after GUN found it.

Eventually, Gerald found the mural from S3&K and decided that it must mean he is the one to create the ultimate life-form to resemble Super Sonic. Shit works, but in order to grant Shadow life, Gerald makes a deal with the Devil and used Black Doom's blood to grant Shadow life.

Eventually, GUN finds out about everything, and not trusting aliens, they decide to murder everyone aboard the ARK, and when the media finds out, they just say that there was an accident involving Super Space Aids, and they had to "quarantine" the place. Gerald was taken hostage in order to reveal info, but he went crazy after seeing Maria get murdered, and, well, you know the rest.

Sonic is trying to calm Knuckles down, who is freakiong out and yelliwng for them to pull over. Tails says it is literally impossible to pull over without being seen by Eggman, and Knuckles takes control of the ship from Tails, but after he spins the ship out of whack, Sonic fights with him over the controls, which causes them to spiral into the ARK from the side, being noticed anyway, and because Sonic refuses to apologize, Knuckles pretty much tells him to fuck off and he leaves them right as the ship crashes, in order to get a head-start on the shards, which Rouge notices are also now in space, so she leaves the Ark to grab them from neighboring moons. In Ocarina of Time, there's a path next to the temple of time that visually leads towards its back, but it's blocked off by gossip stones and what appear to be fences. Now, this little diddy is a little different from other myths such as the hole at the bottom of Zora's Domain, because there's no actual basis that the little alcove ever lead anywhere. If you use cheats to high jump over the fence or walk through it and start travelling down the path, when you get towards the end the game will freeze up. Now, this is very interesting from a technical standpoint. If you cheat to go through other area's, you'll usually just fall out of the map and get one of those 'you fell' teleports back to your last entrance. This is to protect against potential bugs that would drop you through floors and such and not leave you stuck. But because this SPECIFIC area freezes the game instead of just dropping you out of the map, that means there's an entirely different process going on. The end of that little walkway prompts the game to load...something. The game freezes because whatever the prompt is, it's either corrupted or nonexistent, but the fact that it freezes means that there was originally something there to load, and seeing that it's the end of a little walkway, it's most likely a port to a new area.
The reason I find this one so mysterious and interesting is because I hardly ever hear it brought up. Everyone seems to busy trying to find the Unicorn Fountain or the Triforce or something, but I like this mystery because it's physically within the game. And I've never seen any dev come out with any answers about it either. Go ahead and google 'Behind Temple of Time' or 'Temple of Time backyard'. You won't find anything.
