I played the classic games a week ago because I was interested in Mania and honestly people who parrot this are kinda full of shit. I didn't know the only choices were "bad" or "perfect". Honestly, I think Sonic 1 is a little weak. Sonic 3&K has cluttered maps. Even the gameplay was ass. Why even bother when I can just hit the dodge button repeatedly and never take damage? Add to that the abominable lack of enemy scaling as you go.

In a standard Metroid, you enter an area, fight some tough enemies that you don't do amazing damage against, then find a piece of equipment that makes them cake and fight your way back out. Enter a new area, repeat.

Other M has like seven enemies. And for 75% of the game it takes forever to kill any of them. Each time you get a new weapon or powerup, it makes it slightly less boring to fight one. The game finally starts to become a little fun in the last hour or so of actual gameplay before trading up in favor of 90 minutes of shitty cutscenes.

A friend of mine is friends with a Newgrounds animator who knows Arin. He didn't hear it from Arin, he heard it from Stamper who was telling it to yet another Newgrounds artist, and my friend's friend just happened to be there. I've said this elsewhere but I always leave out the Stamper bit because I don't want to get him in trouble because Stamper's the best. Arin has not animated in several years, and even when he does, he outsources the majority of it to SpazKid, RubberNinja, Studio Yotta, etc.

He knows that animation takes time, and after watching Doodle Dudes, it is apparent that Arin has not even DRAWN in a long time, as his doodles were by far the worst, and not even in an ironic way. He knows he struck easy ass gold with the Let's Plays, and because he is a rich lazy fuck who sold out, he will not even sit down and make a one minute animation once a year.

Call me salty, I really do not care anymore. /v/ is supposed to be a board for videogames enthusiasts and hardcore gamers, and yet at any time it is possible to see multiple threads about Nintendo, a company infamous in the sector for being the one that most widely caters to the taste of casual and occasional gamers.

Now, I don't see any threads on /tv/ about series like Modern Family or Grey's Anatomy, despite both being some of the most popular TV series airing, and that's because the userbase is mature enough to either not watch those programs aimed at a completely different audience than the film enthusiasts who browse it, or to realize that discussing them is out of place in a site dedicated to enthusiasts of particular interests like 4chan is.

On the other hand, Nintendo threads plague /v/ constantly, and are some of the worst threads on the board in the matter of quality of posts. This, of course reflects the immature and non-internet-savy nature of the average Nintendo fan, which is not and could ever not be a videogames enthusiasts, so these threads pose an actual nuisance to the actual hardcore gamers that wished to discuss their hobby with likeminded individuals on /v/. They are also known falseflaggers, shitposters, and general console warriors, further decreasing the quality of content on the board.

My proposal to solve this issue, which is arguably one of the root causes for the current state of /v/, is to ban any user that mentions anything related to Nintendo, be it games, consoles or IPs. I'm sure that the quality of the board would increase tremendously, as the moderation makes clear that Nintendo fans are not welcome on /v/, driving them away from the userbase in a permanent manner, thus removing the main source of bad content on the board.

Feel free to discuss how long the ban should be, I advocate a 3 days ban for first offenders, and then a permanent ban for repeat offenders.
