DmC:DE fixed a lot of gameplay problems and made it not only playable but enjoyable I also always liked the art direction for the environments. Plot is a joke still and Donte is a fuckhead but cutscenes can be skipped. Vergil DLC was decent as well but that's Capcom made.

Saying that if anyone is curious about it don't get it new, get it used so Capcom sees no money.

DmC would have been way better if its head wasn't so tremendously far up its own ass most of the time.

Stuff like Donte getting dressed in mid-air and fighting Bill O'reily inside Fox News is fucking great. But the problem is that most of the game takes itself way too seriously. It's just drab, instead of embracing the ridiculous premise and having fun with it it's mostly played straight.

Old DMC was 80% lighthearted and 20% serious. While DmC is 80% serious and 20% lighthearted.

DMC1 is one of my favorite games. I played DmC once upon release and never played it again so I wanted to at least replay it once more to give it a chance but remembering this line is making it feel harder to do so.
