I played most of Tri Force Heroes online with strangers and had a blast. I don't know if online is still alive though.

I recently hacked a n3ds, it's relatively safe.
Precautions though:
>DON'T PUT YOUR 3DS IN SLEEP MODE WHEN IT'S ON 2.1
>MAKE SURE YOU DON'T UPDATE IT IF YOU WANT TO PLAY SNES, GBA AND GENESIS GAMES

Other than that the instructions aren't too bad. It takes longer to download all the shit and get all the files in the right place than actually hacking it. Oh and make sure you have a SD card reader, and a small enough screwdriver so you don't strip the screws.

To avoid the banwave, just go to system settings (when it's hacked) go to the streetpass options, and turn everything off. Same for the friendslist options.

Fun as fuck. If you're not into regular Monster Hunter gameplay you'll probably really like it. It looks amazing and while the combat is pretty simple (like pokemon battles with rock paper scissors) it's still fun to play. The demo will last you several hours just playing normally or you can really stretch it by exploring and just running around.

Bought and sold 2-3 different handhelds over the last couple of years. I like the concept but every time it just became a dust collector because I never left my home where the PC already was.

How do you guys feel about SJR?

I'm pretty mixed on it. The game was already pretty good as is, I could understand a console remake but a remake from ds to 3ds seems like it wouldn't really change much. Also the fact anyone can literally play SJ on their 3ds makes it seem even more pointless. I plan to buy it, I own the SJ collectors edition already but it's my favorite SMT game, but I think this should have been a remake of something more deserving, I would have loved a SMTI/SMTII combined remake in SMTIV's engine.

Okay, am I the only person who only has had the o3ds? I got mine in 2012 about a month after release, I feel like literally everyone has got a XL or a new 3ds by now. I was kind of nervous with xenoblade and it being new 3ds only but that seemed like a one time deal as nintendo knows that would fuck sales probably.

Never got that much use of it over the pass 6 years because of location. The most use I got of streetpass hits was when I went to my first anime convention a few years back. Filled up all of the streetpass lots in AC:NL during the convention.

I can't upload shit to either site and I don't know why. I was able to get my first four themes up on 3dsthem.es when it first started, but later on down the line when I made more I found I couldn't upload anymore. And yet I kept making themes. Also, I'm currently playing Dragon Quest 8. I'm blown away, really. Just got the Venus Tear for Red. The game looks and plays fantastic, I wish the 3ds wasn't slowing down because games like this remind me that it's capable of so much.

This is the only Fire Emblem game I've played, and it's probably my favorite 3ds game (I own MH4U, OoT 3D, Pokemon Y/OR, and Animal Crossing).

I personally really like the style of the game (turn-based strategy with RPG elements). It reminds me of XCOM, another one of my favorite games. But it gets too easy near the end. Probably one of your units will become extremely powerful on Easy and Hard, which kind of saps the game of tension. People say there's two game modes really, ridiculously easy and ridiculously hard (on Lunatic).

My personal favorite aspect of the game is the children mechanic. At a certain point you unlock the ability to pair up some of your characters to have children, and depending on who you pair the child will have different stat bonuses and classes available to them. I've had a lot of fun min/maxing children's stats and trying to create the optimal unit, but some people also call it a "waifu simulator" or "dating sim" as well (you get some clunky dialogue as characters fall in love, etc.) and veterans seem to not like this addition to the game.
