This is the Dark Souls of 3D platformers.
Rare were better programmers than the idiots at From
Are there actually any "super hard" 3D platformer games in the style of Super Meat Boy or I Wanna Be the Guy with good controls? Stuff like Banjo Kazooie and the various Mario spinoffs have a small challenge sometimes but overall they're pretty easy so that even a 10 year old can do them without getting frustrated

3d platformers are crap.

Conker's Bad Fur Day

never even beat that as a kid on n64, only got to the last area, never farther
>>387174267
Speedrun stuff like Cloudbuilt, I guess.
>>387174267
Super Mario 64 Rom Hacks I guess.

I never finished that when I was younger, couldn't get through the laser shit in the tunnel right near the end of the game

According to journalists that title goes to the Crash remaster and will remain as such until the next remaster of an old game comes out.

yooka layle was more dissapointing than DS2.
>>387177069
is yooka laylee worth playing?

All I can think of is the final stretch of Psychonauts.

Super Mario Sunshine can get stupidly retardedly hard.

fuck this guy, but when I finally was able to beat him without using speed shoes, I think that was the first time I creamed myself.
>>387177234
Not really.
The writing is still fantastic, but the gameplay is just loose and uninteresting, and the game itself has an ugly plastic look to it.
>>387177234
It's very... Unity. But it's not as bad as /v/ likes to say it is, but it's a step down from Banjo-Tooie.

No, precise jumps just don't work in 3D like they do in 2D.
This is why a lot of the platforming and obstacles in SM64 moved and spun etc.
it took me so fucking long to figure out you had to go into that drain pipe to get the last few notes
I was so mad
