I barely use my PS4 anymore. I'm just not a fan of the AAA multiplat games. I much prefer nintendo-style games and that's why I play so much 3DS.

Most people who work for games companies are there because it's their job, not because they have some religious affiliation with one console and have devoted their lives to shitting on other companies. Most of them just like video games in general and have a friendly rivalry with people in competing companies.
Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft social media accounts have often given good luck/congratulations to their rivals, it just makes them look nice instead of being as petty as forum-users.

5.5 is counting only Japan. Japan was its strongest region, but if you're counting in all of America and Europe added together, that probably totals up enough to add in an extra few million. Wii U only sold 3.3 million in Japan and still managed 13.5 million worldwide.
