Only played 1&3, they stopped being fun as soon as you had to play the levels a million times for chao ring farming or having to get chaos emeralds, or trying to get all the missions in 3, they're a lot more enjoyable if you just play through them once to get to the end and then are done with them

As a big Advance series fan, no. Not at all.
Advance games are better than any Sonic game we got after Adventure 1 bit they aren't still as good as classic ones.
Especially because Advance 2 took a big shit on the original formula in favour of a retarded "gotta go fast" rush gameplay.
At least 3 fixed the things a bit.

Sonic Advance took the Classic games' minor FoV problem and blew it up tenfold.

The ridiculously small screen size was a huge problem with those games. It was damn near impossible to avoid any obstacles unless you memorized their placements, because you'd have a quarter of a second to react to them appearing.

If all three games were packaged together on the Switch or another console with widescreen support, with the camera zoomed out by like 50% on top of it, it'd be up there with the classics. But it's just too much of a pain in the ass as-is.

I feel like Advance 3 is more fun to get deeper into than Advance 2 where you're ultimately coming up with a specific route each act to get the special stage. And then you have to do that entirely four times to get Amy.

Advance 3 also has a good time attack.

Sonic Advance 2 is a fucking terrible game kill yourself, its literally the press forward to win meme but for real this time. I even counted it, you can beat hot crater act 1 by holding right all the time and pressing the jump button only 2 times, its absolutely ridiculous
