It's a typical mood jump that happens when indie/AA jumps to the world of AAA.

MP2 was fine, felt a bit short. But god damn Mona Sex was the best part of it all.

MP3 was also fine but idk it felt like a cash grab but they kind of got the "I don't want to live anymore/0 fucks given" Max after what happened in 2. It reminded me of Hartigan from Sin City except Max had no more purpose in life.

1 is the pinnacle of gaming.
2 is a very meh sequel but at least maintains the atmosphere.
3 is absolute garbage, avoid at all costs. Only BR hue hues can enjoy it.

MP3 is simply the best TPS ever. Body physics, ballistics and bullet-time is amazing. Great soundtrack reinforces the "no turning back" feel. The last level is kino. Story is the worst aspect of the game but the setting is interesting. If you've never played it, you have to.
