They've remade the same game for 30+ years. Also, Bomberman was only ever fun as a casual party game with friends.

Turn him into a villain for an open-world third-person cops and robbers game where you try to bomb a city to pieces while the cops are trying to stop you.

Anyone here play Flip Wars on the Switch? It seems like a similar premise (detonations, four-player battle) and I'm curious if it plays well and kept peoples' attention in comparison to something like Super Bomberman R or Mario Kart 8.

I'm baiting, I know you'd want a heart/life system in there somewhere. Personally I'd like a platformer like Yoshi's Island with egg/bomb-throwing, or something like Shovel Knight that lets you destroy more of the terrain to make shortcuts/progression. That terrain mechanic felt amazingly underused in SK.
