From what I know race actually plays a part of the characters they voice.

A black character is more likely to voiced by a black person. As "racist" as it sounds you can often subtly hear when someone is say Asian or black, maybe just due to culture or maybe just the shared racial traits include the throat or one of the other many things that decides how our voices sound. If you do some google searching and find some books on ancient greece you'll find that spartans, thracians and most greeks were much much darker than people make them out to believe. This is in part due to their statues fading of their colors so europeans believing that 'Greeks were white like us cause of this marble being white!', and since a lot of our north american information of anything older than like the founding of our conutry came from europe, bam.

Of course we're smarter than that now and have access to much more information, so it's harder for europeans to get away these notions, and they've sense been upturned, but considerint he general information because of what's been spread by those europeans, it leads to shit like Brad Pitt or Gerard Butler being cast as someone who wasn't his skin color, at all.

I don't personally care cause I liked both of their acting, but in a game they should consider being a bit more faithful.
