Seriously though, what matters to Bethesda is sales. To their credit, Todd said that dialogue wheel was probably a mistake. But overall, I don't think Fallout series is dead if you're fine with Bethesda made Fallouts.

Fallout 4 was probably Bethesda's least glitchiest game they've released, and they did improve on combat compared to previous games... but where they did fuck up they fucked up hard.

The shooting was mostly fine, the game was just shallow as fuck. You can pull off a shallow game in a FPS that's only 6-8 hours long (which is why most of them are this length), but in an open world game you're expected to play for 30-100 hours, you need more.

The game wasn't a critical success though. It's review scores were across the board lower than Fallout 4 by as much as 10% and user review scores were also very low. In every single way the response to it was worse than Fallout 3 and New Vegas (and it's one of the most poorly rated Bethesda games released).
People are starting to wise up and it wont be long before we see the first big budget Bethesda flop unless they drastically change their formula.

FO4 was great if you view it as a survival sandbox with RPG elements, rather than a straight RPG. With alternate start mods, quest mods, item mods, creature mods, and plenty more while playing on Survival difficulty, I got pic related out of it.
