Am I the only person who loves mining for stuff in games as much as I do in real life?
Like in monster hunter. Or that multiplayer cave thing in pokemon diamond/pearl or... sapphire/ruby/emerald... I don't remember.
Are there any other games that feature this sort of thing?
I love the idea of going out and busting up a cliff face in search of treasures with the danger of dinosaurs and jews and harsh weather weighing down on me.

Looks like a nice game.
I haven't played a pokemon game and enjoyed it in years. It's just an example that came to mind, although it's probably not very accurate.
I remember being able to enter that cave multiplayer zone and mine for gems by myself and I liked it, in whatever game that was.

I picked up 7 days to die recently after finding out that it wasn't a completely generic open world zombie survival crafting game, everything in the environment is made of blocks and terrain bends and forms to other blocks around it.
It's pretty nice, I'm enjoying digging giant pits around my base. There is also traditional mining with a pickaxe for stone and ores, but mostly on aboveground rocks.

I was also under the impression 7 days to die was another generic Day Z ripoff.
I'll be definitely installing that shit and trying it out.

There's not really any caves, but I always get excited when I see ore deposits in Breath of the Wild.
I love smashing them and getting sweet gems. Give Dragon Quest Builders a try as well, that's a comfy game. There's a sequel coming out soon.

7 Days to Die is absolutely great for mining and underground bases, highly recommend.
