Been hearing about this game for years, wasn't a huge fan of cliffyb from GOW onwards. main problems with lawbreakers for me:
1. way too many active abilities, I fucking hate cooldowns, nuquake did this fine by having only one
2. too small maps for team matches focusing on mostly ctf-like modes
3. focusing map design around a fucking underwater level segments
4. too many hitscan weapons, you'd think when they pushed for zero-g zones they would have realized this was a bad idea
5. should have speed retention instead of spamming active speed abilities to maintain it

I actually never heard about this game before the release. Ever since the only reviews I've seen are really good, and I think it looks pretty cool for a fast-paced team FPS. But damn, that player count tho... It's like 5 times lower than Dirty Bomb which I already found quite dead lately.

Well - it's closed beta because, for now, they will likely send you a key but might as well stop giving any keys at all. There are no content for now, netcode is shitty, and game runs with abysmal FPS. The base for game is actually decent and is a wet dream of every quaker - all movement styles from different arena shooters splitted into different champs. What else do you want?

And game actually might not be doa because it already attracted alot pro players from cs:go, overwatch etc. So there is a slight chance it will survive it's beta state with some decent community.

Better than playing against nobody. At least with (well-designed) bots you can populate matches in a multiplayer-only game that's dead as fuck. I don't get how devs don't understand that; Cliffy is telling the press he's working on a "slow burn" and gradually building a fanbase or whatever but there's nothing there for people to latch on to while that happens. Nobody is gonna sign on to idle in a lobby and wait for 1 hour for a match.

Imagine the flop D44M would have been if it had been pvp only. The slow burn can work but only if you have content/gameplay that can be enjoyed when nobody else is playing.

so essentially everyone under 30 , the games probably not that bad but its released at a terrible time overwatch has considerable gravity for players of all shades , arena players are making bedroom eyes at Quake Champs and there are some freebie games like paladins etc sweeping up drop outs.
