Will this 10/10 masterpiece ever be topped?

I'm not entirely sure, anon. I'm not sure.
I did not need this nostalgia trip so late at nig ht
>>387103895
I would kill somebody in front of their own mother for a remaster.
>went entire game using only the big sword
The Patrician Choice

This and Einhander and Parasite Eve 1 and 2... SQUARE PLZ
No. Because all the money goes toward making Normie Trash games that are barely even video games anymore.
Oh, and gun games. Endless amounts of Triple A gun games and shooters, and guns and shooting, and did I mention guns and shooting?
>>387105202
I have a feeling we'll see Parasite Eve again, idk about Einhander tho.
I play the game once every single month and then erase the save data just before the final boss so I can play this forever. It's the only game I do this by the way.
Greatest game ever made.
>>387103895
Why the fuck was this never released as a PSone Classic
.
>>387103895
Oh shit I need to continue this game one of these days, haven't played it in months
>>387105171
Did this too in a playtrough, became a fucking beast, had to master the short-hop to Lumina to off them, nice reach but terrible range, still, it was fun.
>>387105617
>>387103895
Wait a minute...
It's a good game but to be really honest, I like every single game where you play as an underage boy, so I can't give an objective opinion about it.
>>387105364the most recent I've seen about Einhander was some post game stuff in World of Final Fantasy. They still have it in their stocks though so I'd love to see them remake it.I'm not getting my hopes up on PE only because they traversed 2 consoles to get us 3rd birthday and had one on some form of mobile phone.
>>387105617
>Awesome as fuck intro
>Cool intro music
>Okay tutorial
>Gameplay felt slow as shit
>Musashi's personality was different
>Not "open world" anymore, exploration was nonexistant
>Kind of hard but in the "lol, u die you go back a lot" and almost no shortcuts
>Music was terrible compared to the original, maybe not what I expected but I didn't really like it
>Everyone loves Musashi now, they all want his dick, but in the first game he was an annoying, naive, simple minded but innocent kid, a bit like kid Goku.
Too bad since I liked the artsyle
>game lets you collect toys of bosses
>nowadays they would probably be microtransactions

AHAHAHAHA
I'M ROOTRICK
ROOT RICK
OH HEY MUSASHI
Seriously tho the game is easily in the top 10 for greatest soundtracks of all time. Just listen to twin mountains
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiKatQcBiIY
This game was basically sony's response to Ocarina of Time,
I genuinely hope they respond to zelda again, this was amazing
>>387105617
>>387103895
Wait are these the same dude?
>>387106291
Hey cousin!
>>387106124
Haven't heard the soundtrack since I beat the game, gonna do that now
>that anxiety from the vambee infestation
>that anxiety from steamwood going berserk
wew
>>387103895
It was kind of lightning in a bottle. Great bunch of people made it and they kept things fun and semi-parody.
>>387106486
Vambees scared the shit out of me.
>>387106315
More than an answer to OoT (Let's be honest here, this is my fave game of all time, but compared to what Ocarina brought to the videogames medium, Musashi did nothing new, although the day and night cycle was executed A LOT better, and the music is better too) it just felt like a reason for them to sell a FFVIII demo without being guilty of feeling like cheap motherfuckers for charging 30 bucks for a demo.
>>387105996
This makes me angry.
Morning!
>All those guys saying the Twin Mountains' theme is the best one
>Not the palace song and the fact it changes every time you save people
>>387103895
Too many great games in the world for this to be #1, but damn it was good.
WOAH JUMP
>get quilt that lets you sleep anywhere
>wow this is awes-
>can't use in final dungeon
REEEEEEEE
It's like the japs forgot how to make good games or something
>>387103895
Great game although I never finished it. I really need to do it now don't I?
>>387106541

>>387106317
Yes, this is what happens when Nomura doesn't have Sakaguchi to keep him in check.
>I would give my flaming nuts for a brave fencer remake/update. Shit was original for its time.
>>387106486
Am I a whimp if I say that vambees are still my biggest fear of all time even after beating the game so long ago?
>>387109283
No. Those things were spook as fuck.
>>387106486
>barely make it through the first time with all the bullshit valve time sequences
>revisit steamwood again but somewhat mentally prepared for it
>but now you have to find some valve handles in addition to the time sequences
>mfw
>>387109283
>>387109624
I thought I was only afraid of them because the first time I saw them I was sleeping and they zoomed into frame like a jump scare.
You know what really helped me get over it? The course where you use the "Bowl" fusion ability to do Vambee bowling. Made it funny.

>>387105989
Musashi was voiced by Lenne Hardt, a middle aged woman trying to sound like a teenage boy trying to sound like an adult.
I can't find good examples but it's the same exact voice for Axl in Megaman X7
https://youtu.be/Ipimqs81xzo?t=178
>>387110496
Wow, that's really really bad.
Aww yeah, glory to Thirstquencher Empire!
>>387103895
Is he always an asshole? He gives no fuck to elders, girls, kings or whomever.
>>387106486
V-Vambee!! Holy shit. I was scared shitless when I was a kid. Thirstquencher is a disgusting empire.
Siege the thieves?
>>387103895
Is this the pinnacle of video game kino?
>>387106486
Steamwood was a bitch for my low reaction time. Then I have to do it again but harder. I almost blew up instead of steamwood from frustration.
>>387113445
I prefer Legends 1, but yes otherwise
>>387113445
Brave Fencer Musashi
Dark Cloud 2
Megaman Legends
My trifecta of innocent, pure joy of video games.
>>387113445
Threads of Fate was another god tier overshadowed Squaresoft game that I was enthralled by. I'm glad I still have my original copies of it and Musashi.
>>387105617
this is the only one i played
>>387116640
Go play the first one, its one of the best PSX games.
>>387105617
His fucking voice is like nails on chalkboard for me. I... I couldn't do it.
>>387110265
The garbage ass mini games in this game really brought the overall product down for me
>>387116767
He sounded like a 50 year old woman questioning her sexuality while gargling on rocks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuT8_msr6zU
>>387116884
I don't blame you and I still love the game and all but jesus christ it tests my love sometimes.
>Be me in Thrift Store
>Walk towards Electronics section
>Maybe find something interesting
>Search through the CD section
>Find Warcraft game case
>Open_case.exe
>Inside do not find Warcraft but rather....
>"Brave Fencer Musashi"
>Notice that it is a PS1 game
>Put it back into the case
>Buy the game for $2
Ok so tell me /v, how lucky was I?
>>387103895
Is this a game I should play?
I never got the dlumina3 and Jon and leno action figure. How the fuck am I supposed to get it?
I enjoyed this game much more than OoT
>>387105030
That and a properly finished 2ND disk of Xenogears
>>387103895
>tfw only played the demo of it
is today finally the day, where i emulate it
>>387121792
It's more fun than OoT.
i'm glad I had a PS1 instead of a 64.
>>387105030
STOP DON'T MONKEYPAW THIS MASTERPIECE
have you seen the sequel? if this got HD remaster it would be shit ass butt shit. I fucking love the original it has a combination of low poly charm the voice acting was top notch for the time and the silly mechanics and goofy bits done all the while winking into the camera are what make this game so damn great.
If you emulate or just watch like 20 minutes of the "spiritual sequel" you'll see what sort of nonsense would occur if they try and futz with this series again. If anything a fan inspired game would be the best bet for good experience.
This game is still goat as an experience if you never played look forward to things like steamwood, vambees, dance or die, stockpiling cheese for the final area, buying toys, and the jenk as fug level up system for the main stats.
If I knew where I saved all my photos for BFM I would post some but instead I'm gonna read the rest of the thread.

Mona Marshall did the orignal musashi she also voiced Izzy from the digimon cartoon in english. It was a really good casting for the contentious little turd he was in the allucaneet kingdom.

1:38 musashi and sojiro
also who was the goddamn composer

>>387107775
there was a ps3 sequel in the works but had to get cancelled, scrapped or lost due to the tsunami
>>387103895
>dat feel when Square literally could do no wrong on PS1
>>387113445
Threads of Fate was rather repetitive. Great heroine though.
>>387106486
>get stuck on first steamwood as a child
>grow a little more
>all of a sudden it's piss easy
>YAY other shit now!
>2nd steamwood comes up
>beat it first try
Only other dumb part was playing DDR
>>387107775
It has more to do with budgets going up and everyone playing it safe.
>>387107621
GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, ME.
Next time, I'm taking the glove.
>>387126706
I swear my disc is fucked because everytime I try the DDR game, it never responds to my controls and I get launched back to the electric wall every fucking time no matter what I do.
