The people running it are out of touch with the game and it shows, honestly Valve should hand it off to a third party like they did with CS:GO.
Casual matchmaking was a horrible mistake that should've never been implemented.
Casual and competitive gameplay are too different for the game to be well-balanced around both of them at the same time.
Certain classes seem to get favoritism from Valve because Valve is afraid of angering comp players.
Also it runs like shit from a decade of cosmetic items being piled on top of it.

Somehow it's still better than Overwatch, but honestly I'd rather play Dirty Bomb, Fist Full of Frags, or Paladins.
I think I only keep it installed because I desperately want the pyro update to unfuck everything wrong with it, but I don't trust TF2's current dev team to make good decisions anymore.

Absolutely fantastic. Met lots of good people, had lots of good games with them. Even enjoyed just dicking around on trade servers and 24/7 2fort servers. One of my favorite games ever.

some update a couple years back brought lag spikes making the game unplayable

If the update isn't at the very least teased tomorrow I'm gonna mcfucking kill myself.

How could I forget? I made so many sprays out of the most innocuous things. GMod is the only game I still play more than once a year where I can even use them.

People always talked about growing up and growing out of video games, but it seems the games outgrew us.
At least I have Splatoon.

Valve killed it and will never fix it or improve it. It will forever be outdated and screwed over.

Most community servers don't have sv_pure and therefore you can spray stuff there, stupid but that's how it is. So many shit community servers but that's your only option for sprays

I think I should probably sell all my hats and rare crates

but then I realize I can only use the money to buy more Steam games and I don't want to support Steam anymore.

Team Fortress 2 Classic is leagues better than base TF2. They're doing a closed beta right now, it's honestly the most fun I've had in awhile.

Good game, had a lot of fun with it. Wish I could sit and play all day without getting bored again.

It was so fucking fun. I miss it - and the sad thing is, there'll never be anything like it again.
Overwatch does not even come close and Valve doesn't know how to count to 3

It's still a game I have fun with 9 or so years later, sure the community has gone downhill, but I still have fun with the game, partly because it's all muscle memory at this point and partly because it's so easy to piss people off, especially with the vaccinator. Even though some of the changes haven't been the best over the years, I still think it's a really good team based fps, still one of the best on the market.
