I had the Gyrm Greatshield when I fought smelter so I found him pretty easy. Wish I beat him properly by rolling because I had to learn to roll pretty fast when I got to the DLCs.

Dracula is harder because at least with Death you can actually dodge the attacks, it's down to skill. With 2nd form Dracula it's just luck whether he jumps high enough for you to move to his other side.
