Their reasoning behind some battles is very bizarre. For example, in Ryu vs Scorpion, they said that Scorpion could just teleport Ryu to Hell, something he has done exactly one time. In Mewtwo vs Shadow, they made Mewtwo erase Shadows memories, something he has never done mid-combat before. Also ignoring that Shadow could just stop time and kill him there.
It is like they pull these obscure feats in order to make the characters they want to win win.

Yes, the power scaling in DB is insane, but compared to Goku, that's nothing. SSJ3 Goku was able to keep up with, and possibly beat Kid Buu (he was holding back to give Vegeta a shot, and wasn't used to his mortal body), and Kid Buu is shown and officially stated to be a Galaxy Buster.

Goku, in his current state can shatter reality when exchanging punches with Beerus, well, that was God Goku. SSJBlue is well past that.

Yes, it's stupid. But the reasoning is that they have so much control that they don't cause the collateral damage they would of they didn't.

Example, compare Goku going SSJ3 during Buu saga, vs. him doing it now. He obviously had much less control over it then, it took him way more time to power up, and it caused way more collateral damage.

But Superman isn't even the strongest character in DCU, and has very clear and defined limits. How far those limits go depends on the writer, but no one has ever shown Superman to be limitless.

Goku is just a much more consistent character, but his power shouldn't be underestimated. Even at SSJ4, he's already leagues beyond most Superman iterations except Prime, and MAYBE All-Star and Silver Age. SSJB however, curbstops ALL of them.

That's the thing-- they didn't even do that. Scout's running ability was only shown for a second and he didn't run anywhere near as quickly as he does ingame. His double jump ability wasn't shown either.
If their stated intention is to show off what both characters can do, they should do that.
