It allows me to enjoy many games in different ways by becoming more invested in them (i.e. playing with an objective or coming up with a story in my head as I play). Harvest Moon 64 was actually my first Harvest Moon, and I loved it. Even got a couple friends to buy and enjoy it. I played BTN after that and liked it even more. It really built well on the foundation of 64, but was much more expansive. I even liked the changes to the characters.

Years later, after college, I tried multiple times to play through FOMT on an emulator, but I had already played through BTN so many times that it became like >>387095073, and I could barely make it to Summer each playthrough before getting burnt out. It was just way too familiar to play casually, and too stressful to play hardcore. I bought A Wonderful Life and couldn't play it for more than a day. I just hated something about it - maybe the controls or aesthetics, I can't quite remember.

I've looked into Rune Factory and already figured it wasn't for me. This game looks familiar enough to bring back good vibes and nostalgia, but different enough where I could just play casually, try different things, and have fun. Moreso than Story of Seasons.

Thanks a bunch. Two things that really help is plants and cramping shit up. You can't use the chairs in the game so just put them really close together to make it look nice. Plants also just make it look more lively.

Shut up, old man! I'll play this relaxing and casual-paced farming game however I want!

Just finished this game, more or less. Pretty enjoyable, but it just reminded me how much I hate RNG in games. The game really wants to be over after year 2, but because of artifacts it can stretch on for far longer than it should. I wasn't using the wiki, so it was really frustrating when I finally gave in on year 3 to figure out why I was missing a crop, only to read that it was locked behind one of two artifacts I was missing. I still haven't found that last artifact. Then there's the villagers, who say the same things every day like a broken record when they could be telling you something useful, like other villager's favorite gifts (if it weren't for RNG). Besides that, there's also Queen of Sauce recipes, which can take all the way through year 4 to complete if you happened to miss the wrong ones. Overall, it left me with a lower opinion of the game, for no good reason.

I might do another playthrough of stardew. Didn't really get to see many of the features, especially now that I'm viewing the screenshots here and seeing content I've never seen in my life.

I sort of just did the bare minimum of work in stardew, if I didn't like a day in particular or wanted to speed things up I'd just sleep whenever, I slept at like 8am some days, and massive starfruit farm and kegging for instant 1m+ for easy endgame

Since it's HM related thread, currently playing HM3 and have only one question: can I make my character look less girly? Or more girly to go all the way? This fag look is pretty damn annoying.
