Came out the same time as XV which left fans disappointed at XV.

It somehow is the closest thing to a decent game Squeenix has made since the merger. It wasn't original or groundbreaking, but its a fun game.

A decent story with some good twists

Final Fantasy dimensions is the best FF in a decade. Fantastic game that's plagued by being mobile only and having a pay per chapter model. I got it all for free and it was fucking great. We need more classic FF titles.

Gameplay is '90s FF with monster catching that falls somewhere between Pokemon and SMT.

Story's forgettable and mainly falls back on "HEY, REMEMBER THIS FF GAME?!?!".

XV's combat is a mess but you can easily hold O and that along with item use will gets you through most fights.

It's more in-deapth than a turn based RPG but it's not up to the level of stuff like Devil May Cry/Bayonetta/Automata.

it's around the gameplay level of the DmC reboot. Had a lot of potential but never reaches it.

Plus XV has extra combat skills that are completely optional

I played it before the nerf. It sucked.

Not that I was afraid of dying because Ihad 9999 HP and like 50 potions but because it's so long and Noctis is basically reduced to a limp until after he reunites with the bros which is like 30 minutes.

All while Ardyn is doing childish taunts and Ravus suddenly betrays the empire and you only find out from notes scattered across his dead body

Yeah the satellite is a really good support S like the magic pot, magitek is also good but becomes a bit outclassed in the very end since one of its abilities which I can't remember well make it a bit counterintuitive for lengthy fights but good for walking around in dungeons and clearing trash.
