In my opinion Anniversary compared to the original looks like heavily modded New Vegas compared to vanilla New Vegas. It technically looks more modern, has higher resolution, better textures, and all that but the final product just looks shittier and almost bootleg.

This, Jade Empire, and Knights of the Old Republic was my go to for comfy games during that time.

I can't even agree here. I tried for days to make the Remaster look good but you just can't. Fable had really good textures for its time so it's only really dated in the character faces, but the Remaster does those worse at least in motion.

Well, the ending was sad, but the atmosphere during the game was pretty relaxing, walking around these huge places holding your friendfu by the hand.
It's always difficult to find a game that I can define as "comfy" because, as comfy as they may be, 95% of video games are somewhat violent. So I usually try to find screenshots that remind me of comfy moments within those games. Like, take Stalker for instance: that's not one comfy game, but when you sit by the fire with the other stalkers, one of them playing the guitar, the music from the radio coming from the bunker, that's comfy as fuck.

I'm still not convinced about these screenshots either, i may have doctored my Anniversary config as i do with all my games and got a good outcome, can't remember.

I'm pretty anal about motion blur, depth of field etc, absolutely hate that trash, but if a game is blurry by default (like when i first booted up GTA V and puked from all the innate disgusting blur) i generally either accept it as something i can't change and move on, or if it continually bothers me that much i might refund.

It saddens me that you guys dislike the anniversary so much, i enjoyed it a lot - graphics aside the anniversary is great. As originally stated, heroic mode is great. all the new additions are great, Old fable is still 10/10 if you can handle how bad it looks on certain setups.

Fable(1) is a religion and should be spread.

It can be finished in 1 day. I fell for the hype of Project Ego/Fable hard. I would tell me friends at school about how cool it was going to be and that you could plant trees and watch them grow and run anywhere, get into fights in taverns and get thrown out the window then someone has to come and repair the window.
