Im not a pro in car games but i have no problem driving full speed in 3 or 4, hell i dont even crash.

but in 2, the cars are too fast and the camera doesnt correct automatically. im playing it in KB+M i dunno if using a controller will help, but really i dont like the port.

I'm guessing you're using Gentlemen of the Row. Using a controller is....viable, but the driving controls are pretty old school.

I learned a weird claw-grip style for driving and shooting, something I normally can't abide, but fuck if SR2 is one of my favourite games of all time.

for the speed glitch you have to enter debug mode and reduce overall speed for the game, like the game is set to 1.0 and you have to set it to 0.8 i don't remember, I played the shit out of it when steam gave it for free a few months ago

That's why I cap the fps at 30. The port is shit, the engine was built to run on consoles. I had the same issues you mentioned when I tried to run it normally at 60 fps. Seems like the game just takes a shit when you try to run it above 30fps. At silky smooth 30 fps, everything runs well and all cutscenes are properly in sync.

I adjusted the fps setting through nvidia control panel.

It really is clunky when compared to the later entries in series, but it also beats them on practically everything else. Better missions, far better story and script, manages to be funny without never getting annoyingly tryhard silly etc.

Stick with it for a moment, it becomes good once you get past the tutorial and start doing those gang storylines.

It's entirely possible your game is running too way too fast. That causes a lot of weird issues.
