imo the gyro controls weren't that bad on the special attacks (i.e. Luiginary Ball, Star Rocket, etc.) , but the gyro controls in the giant battles were inexcusable

That fight made me drop the game. I must have tried like over 20 times.
The controls are so finnicky...and just when you think you get a hold of things, there's that shitty part towards the end where you have to rotate your 3DS 360 degrees and lose sight of what's happening and then lose the fucking fight.
