IIRC the definitive edition adds a bunch of money and cheat shit to your character that complete unbalances the game. I think there are ways to remove it, but be aware.

It's a great game, a patricians GTA

Play it for the story.

The gameplay is very "bumper-lane"-esque and doesn't require a lot of skill. With that said, if you spend time learning combos, you can make some fantastic looking fight scenes.

It's the type of game you have to play for the plot. The fighting is pretty simplistic and the other mechanics like driving are shit.
