Which one should I pick, /v/?
Original.

either, both look good.
Pixel art is what I prefer.
That shouldn't matter to you. Go with whatever - but pixel art is the way it was originally made so you know they worked to make it look as good as possible. Smoothed is just put through a filter, it wasn't redrawn, so some shit later on might look cheap.

They both look good, but I'd go with pixels.
>filters
>>387054239
both are nice but my personal preference would have me going for the pixels, since they actually look really good unlike most of the incomprehensible vomit /v/ defends
All you had to do was look at the mouths and hands to know what was the right choice.
pixels, smooth filters are disgusting

I hope you guys never use anti-aliasing because it is essentially the same thing and you would be Hypocrites if you did.
>>387054239
Smooth doesn't look to bad there, but some of the details loose their definition.
It's totally down to taste but I prefer pixels.
Remember not to listen to their lies

Anything aliased was never intended by the developers, otherwise the Anti-aliasing filter wouldnt exist, the only reason its not forced on is because of toasters and shitty consoles that cant handle it.
check mate u dumb atheist
>>387054239
I don't get this meme
why would I care about a translation of something that was already translated. Does it add content?
>>387054239
I'd use the pixel art. If the new graphics were actually redrawn I might prefer that, but here they're just smoothed out which looks like ass.
>>387054239
I think both look fine for different reasons, go with what you prefer.
>>387055094
Except author intent matters in design.
Pixel art was never designed to be anti-aliased, while modern graphics, especially 3D graphics, are usually meant to be anti-aliased and designed with that in mind.

That's a really strange way to perform your mental gymnastics. The fact of the matter is that both forms of AA are damaging the image but to autisically decry one over the other is illogical and foolish. Incidently R6 gives you the option of either, apparently, and a retroactive decision to include it speaks volumes about why.
Dumb fucking queer.
>>387057058
Yet you completely forget how a CRT displayed these graphics on the screen. I guarentee you don't follow through with "intent" on every issue.
Is this game any good? Could use a JRPG to play.
>>387055774
i'm always seeing people say japs get motion sickness so they don't like fps games but maybe it's because they're playing them at fucking 20fps
>>387055774
>10-20
>normal
>>387055774
This is a sort-of RPG. You can handle ridiculously low FPS on those. They aren't wrong, in this circumstance at least.
The perfect Rance game would be the overall gameplay from Sengoku, the Dungeon Crawling from 6, the Battle System from 9, and the artwork of Kichikuou.
Prove me wrong.
