Question, though: I'm not fond at all of the gameplay of turn based JRPGs and mostly just want to experience the story, music, characters, etc. Will I be missing out on a lot of content if I play through it on Easy?

The gameplay is slightly better, the pacing is miles ahead because no more boring loops.
Unfortunately the story, characters and dialogue suffered heavily. A few characters are particularily insufferable.
The soundtrack isn't as stellar as BD's, but it's still great and has a few really good tracks.

Sound Horizon is Revo's other band. It was because of SH's 10th anniversary that Revo couldn't compose for Second. IMO, I think Revo should do a bit less for SH or maybe the SH fandom can give something up so Revo can compose for Third. I think he should since fans want him back

I ended up getting spoiled and as far as I can gather apparently after you finish the Earth Crystal you go back in time or something and repeat everything again. How long will it take to finish the game if I turn encounters to 0 and just rush the bosses to get their background stories? I'm outside of the Earth Crystal right now and it's been a fun game but I'll admit that doing everything all over again sounds tedious.

The Bravely fan base is ded comment reminds me of a post I made on Tumblr once about the Sound Horizon fandom.. If you want to see a dead fandom, look in certain areas of the Internet. Hardly anyone posts SH fanart in deviantart. A Facebook group I found isn't posting stuff nearly as much as last year and the tumblr community shrunk. I also got into a flame war with a tumblr user once. Someone posted a meme about Revo having schedule conflicts and deciding to do SNK opening 3 instead of the next SH album. I made a opinion on how I wouldn't mind him doing that and I think Laurants should compensate something /Rebo should scale back so he could compose for Bravely Third and asked why couldn't they. Then another tumblr user took my comments as drama and posted a pick of it on Twitter and she and a few other Laurants think it was the rudest thing and say Laurants don't push Revo and I don't decide Revo's schedule and that it was cruel that I would wish against someone else's passions.

i stopped playing this game when they decided to make the game longer by forcing me to boss rush and go through that beacon of light a million times. i haven't played since like, when it was released so a full plot summary would be nice if anyone is willing to make one for me. all i remember is after a certain point in the game "where the fairy flies" changes to "airy lies" and that ringabell is apparently the dark knight.

the Bravely Third fairy will be the player's avatar. She will take instructions directly from you on how she should guide certain characters within the story, ultimately you choosing who the bad guy is in the story. If you fail to make one character out to be the badguy, they'll turn on the fairy and kill her, revealing your existence to them. At that point the save becomes locked, and they'll refuse to do anything you tell them to. the only way to continue the story is to try to delete the save, which is when they rebel completely and the final chapter starts

First time you definitely get the ambigious ending, and the second round you get the good endings, no matter what you picked either time.
But story wise, it is subverting the players expectations so they can question their choices. Edea especially, since she would go the commie/friendship route most of the time or whatevs. You make the choice, and then you question it. The second time around you either commit or pick the other choice. It was fun. Too bad you needed to do both to get all the asterisks anyways

Real talk, Ninja/Monk was my shit in Default, Utsusemi with Transience and Turn Tables to be unhittable against single-enemy physicals, and Pressure Point for ridiculous damage. Ended up soloing the dragons with Ringabel at an early point because he was FUCKING INVINCIBLE.

I did eventually buy her for 80 bucks from MFC, and have seen her pop up on eBay for about a 100 couple of times. At this point, I'd say hold on until the series gets popular again, which will hopefully happen if Bravely 3 happens.
