Yeah, it just sucks. The only way to actually play the game at this point is to camp and snipe, which isn't much fun at all. Then it just comes down to whether or not you dropped near wherever the circle ends up, and the luck of the draw with the lag when it comes to the close quarters of the final circle.

Shots 5-7 missed
Shot 8 was a direct hit to the center of his torso but registered as a miss.

If you are playing the game for firefights, you aren't playing the right game. This isn't CS:GO. The enjoyment of this game comes from hunting for loot, sneaking around, out positioning enemies, and escaping from bad situations.

In terms of actual fights, the game is a mess. Hit detection is horrendous, the servers are terribly laggy. Just because you saw blood splatter and damage on an enemy doesn't mean that the server did, so you'll sometimes be hitting an unarmoured enemy 10+ times with an AR, wondering why they won't fucking die, and then have then turn and kill you in a fraction of a second, despite you having full health and level 3 armour and helmet.

The game has a LOT of potential, but it is pretty much unplayable at this point.

The fun thing about the game is dropping into a warzone with 100 different people all out to kill eachother. Because the shooting mechanics are so terrible (because of some of the worst lag and hit detection ever seen in a commercially available game. The aiming and gunplay are actually pretty good otherwise), most of your strategy will end up involve looting, sneaking around and trying to outsmart your opponents. If you do well enough with looting and positioning to get into the final circle, you can win the game with almost no combat at all.

My first win was actually with only a single kill. I just got lucky with loot drops, and avoided enemies until the final circle.

It takes literally 2 minutes or less to play a 5 second clip frame by frame and look at where the bullets went - hardly meticulous, and it tells me if I fucked up, or if the game did. It all depends on how you want to play it. You can jump right into highly contested areas and fight for the good loot. After that, you'll barely need to loot, and can just let other players do the looting for you, and then take them out.

That is assuming the game doesn't fuck you over with shitty servers and bad hit detection. The underlying concept and mechanics are pretty solid, and give players with a bunch of different styles a good chance, but it is REALLY rough right now.
