Played the demo, not sure what class I wanna play in PoF. Ele's new spec looks sweet, engineers is flashy, but I've also wanted a rifle thief for so long.
I spent over half an hour just running around on muh gold dyed raptor enjoying the animations. Definitely happy I don't have to find a way to spam swiftness all the time.
Turned postprocessing off and the desert looks way better.

The mounts ain't too shabby to use. Feels a bit weird at first but you kinda get used to it after a while. Shame you can't use the specializations until next weekend tho' since that was the only thing I was looking forward to.

You can skip as much pf the story stuff as you want but the expansions are all end game content so you need a max level character at the very least.

What is the easiest build/profession to get back into open world pve? Every build I look up tells me to wear berserkers and I just eat shit in HoT areas.

Ehh i might try it sometime in the future. But right now im not gonna get it day one like the last one.

Its been a while since i played. But when i quit my problems were the story sucks (Although i hear they have toned down some of the annoying bits a little) The loot is boring as fuck from monsters/dungeons. And most of the weapons for all the classes were garbage on top of everybody just using Zerker armor.

Last time i played Reaper was fun as fuck. And i also really loved playing Hammer guardian. But i dont know how much fun is to be had by me this time around.

The one thing I can see you wanting to repeat hearts for are the new unidentified gear drops. These things drop from enemies and events throughout the map and you can either break em down for crafting material, or bring em to a heart vendor you've unlocked and pay a silver or so per gear to identify it into something usable. Got an exotic sunspear rifle messing around with those things yesterday.

Neither can I. Orr was fun because you finally left those things behind, and one would think they were continuing that philosophy with the HoT maps but then they went full retard by LS3. Not only did they bring hearts back, but they made them EVEN more tedious by making them repeatable and making it NECESSARY to repeat them for certain items. Draconis Mon is the worst offender of this since its hearts are the worst to progress in but you need to be at that shit every day for weeks to get what you need for the druid stone backpiece.

I'm thinking about using my HoT free 80 on a revenant because I want to play a heavy armor class and warrior and guardian are too overplayed. The shortbow doesn't look that cool but the ritualist-like spells do.

I also have a mesmer and thief at 80, just cant decide on what to get ready to bring to Elona.

Sucks, they have an AAA art team but they are fucking starving on the balance and game play side of things. Not to mention C grade story tellers, the hearts system would of been quite interesting as well if there was a replay ability feature of it while fucking off with the map down scaling.

I would consider holding off on boosting a Revenant at this point. Currently it is the weakest class in the game by virtue of other classes being able to do anything rev can do, but better. Renegade at a glance seems like it might serve to improve revenant's condition builds, but we won't know for sure til we get our hands on it.
