Best places to drop are on the outer edges of the map, and north is generally better than south. Less enemy contact, generally better loot, never the center of attention, just have to worry about mobility.

That's the opposite of what I do. I usually drop in the school or military base where it's filled with people, don't bother with helmets and armor or attachments (except the flash hider), just get one or two guns and start hunting people.

I gained a bit on the 1.8 patch, but then I lost roughly 10 fps with the last "6 core and more fix" couple of patches on the starting island. I get mostly over 70 outside, but it still bothers me as I drop to 50s in big towns.

Also how do I get DSR working with this game? I have a 1920x1200 monitor, DSR doesn't show up, custom resolutions don't either. I even tried 16:9 resolutions, still don't show up as an option. Nvidiainspector settings do nothing either. Tried to get lower LOD to see slimes but it doesn't work.

I don't know what this "wait until it comes ot ea" is, but if you buy it you can refund it within 2 hours of gameplay, which is more than enough time to see if you like it.

But I'd suggest getting it if you have at least one friend to play with. I think solo is meh, but it becomes godtier when you're with friends. Because you play against other teams and can do things you can when solo, like set up traps on the bridges, go team vs team vs team in a settlement, spy on teams fighting then finishing them off while they revive their teammates and heal, then taking all their gear+cars. Pretty sure that if you play solo you're only against solo players.

Yes, you can request a refund immediately. I bought it and played it for a little over an hour, then refunded it because I was annoyed by the bugs and shitty optimisation. A LOT. Not baiting but I started playing only a month and a half ago, and I went from 30-70fps at 1080p with a 1070 to 60-100fps at 1440p with screen scaling maxed out.

Of course it should run way better, but performance gets better with every patch. A friend with a toaster pc went from 5fps at 800x600 to 30fps at 720p.

Did something similar a few days ago in FPP. I'm 1v1ing a guy that's 200m away, we both have only pistols. I manage to sneak into a house, get a revolver, and when I get outside, I see him in the distance on a bike, like 400m away. I noscoped his ass with a revolver, saw his body glitch of the bike and get stuck in the ground while the bike kept on going for a few more meters.

Once I was near the school, being sneaky because there were at least 20 people there, then suddenly a naked chick with a gun jumped from the roof, did a 1080 noscope and killed me, then broke her legs when she landed on the ground and died too. Spent the next 15 minutes laughing at the naked chick with a gun that did a modern warfare 2 trickshot. It was the only time where I had all the lvl 3 equipments, all the attachments, and a AK+the good M4, wasn't even mad.

I like how you actually have to work as a team, even if you only have one friend to play with. Hell, even when I'm playing BF1 with a full squad of friends, it doesn't feel like we actually need to work as a team. PUBG has its flaws, but there is no other shooter out right now that I can think of where you can grab any amount of friends you want and work as a team. Tried it with Overwatch, just me and my cousin with four other shitters. Not as fun.

Why is it that whenever I shoot people, I always lose?

I've shot people 10+ times and they don't die (or get downed in duo or squad) but they shoot me with a shotgun once from 30+ feet away and I die instantly or get downed. Like, how is that possible? Hell there have been times I shoot people with a shotgun from 10 feet and they don't die, so how can they possibly do it further away in one hit?

The last one made me furious. Shot a dude over 20 fucking times with a scar, I missed a few shots sure, but the amount of fucking blood I saw come out of this guy because of hits was insane. Then he literally one hit kills me (through level 2 armor and a level 2 helmet) with the pump shotgun from over 20 feet away. I just don't understand.

I wish we got a mode with a smaller arena and more modes, like CTF or Rush. The way it is now is great, but it would be silly not to explore more options.
