I miss that weird little period where DK was like "the guy" at Nintendo alongside Mario and shit. Games everywhere, racing spinoffs, his own animated series. Even in the 2000's you had stuff like King of Swing and people pitching DKR sequels to Nintendo.

Now it's been like what? 3 years since Tropical Freeze? the last game before that was 2010. While Fire Emblem gets almost bi-yearly releases.
