When you're on the ground and stuck there, your movement options consist of further movement along that flat plane, with a possible jump. Meanwhile, if you're jumping and running along the wall, not only are you on-ground options available, but you now add several degrees of verticality to your options. All of this adds up when avoiding getting shot at a distance.

The maps are small enough that it doesn't really matter, the balance is on point. The grunts can be dangerous if you stay in place or completely ignore them, so it's a good idea to kill them, and to constantly move.
Then a player comes along, you duke it out, and keep on going if you survive. It's a super fun game, and the player count seems to actually be growing.
