I want a game where it's an even younger Ganondorf and we get to see his transition into evil.

Sadly I don't think they'll do anything too outlandish with the story in a Zelda game. We'll never see any major roll reversals or unique take on the characters or particularly eclectic settings

Mentor Ganondorf would be fun. You'd always be waiting for him to betray Link at some point in the story, but they'd find ways to keep putting it off, right up until you start believing (or hoping) the shoe isn't going to drop.

There should be a game where demise returns, but that has the effect of taking away the "always chaotic evil" curse out of ganondorf, leaving him more reasonable (but still anvicious). The tgree team up to defeat demise and dorf at the end decides to just "chill during this lifetime" and leave in peace. Of course, this scenario could only happen in a game like Hyrule Warriors.

Eh I dunno, Im of the opinion that BotW takes place in the hero fails timeline, we never see Ganondorf in that timeline either. Im led to believe that Link loses when Ganondorf gets mega pissed in OoT and decided to fuck it and just go full dark ganon mode. Every other timeline Ganondorf has appeared in some way in.
