The only thing on this list that I've fouled against is the resolution/framerate thing, and that's because the most important part of a game to me is gameplay. As long as resolution/framerate isn't actively detrimental, there is no importance to be "denied". It is important in the same sense that the music should service the game and not be irritating, but it is not important in of itself.

Turns out I'm a casual. I got a month of PSN so I could play Bloodborne properly; then I sold the PS4 and went back to PC. I go to /r/games (not /r/gaming) sometimes when there's some news or something. I feel like that subreddit, boring as it is, can be faster to pick up on new shit which isn't buried in fun memes.

I think stable FPS is more important for most genres of game than high resolutions, and frame rates, though there'd better be a good creative reason why resources have been directed away from these areas during development.
