God Hand play looks pretty ugly until you "get it". And when you think about it, only one man on Earth truly "gets it". I mean, I can do my decent little Level 2 juggles all day but I'll never be as good as him.

I still don't get why the Souls games are seen as 'hard' games when God Hand fucking kicks all their asses and came out three years before Demon's Souls did.

A KMS run on Hard in God Hand and Master Ninja run in NGB are about as hard as you can get while still being fair in a video game.

Kick Me Sign = KMS, in 1-2 Olivia will put a sign on your back and the goal is to reach the game without it falling off, the twist is that if you use God Hand or the roulette wheel the sign falls off.

Ninja Gaiden Black = NGB, highly recommend it if you like these kinds of games.

Stylish action has always been a niche genre. Even From themselves kinda forgot but the Souls series' claim to fame was its atmosphere.

The games are regarded as hard because they were the first games in a long time to be very punishing, mostly due to high damage values.

Silver and Gold is the fight where the player has to understand that spacing and crowd control are the name of the game when it comes to God Hand, if you don't properly look for openings and space yourself accordingly against them you are going to absolutely destroyed by their tag team attacks. The move where one of them picks up the other and rushes towards you can do half your health, it's pretty crazy.

It's the best kind of casual filter though because you can only beat them if you really understand what the game is all about.

I like how Bayo gives you more options with witch time and weapon swapping, but god hand lets you get so much more aggressive, and punishes you so much harder for fuck ups.

I like them both though. I like God Hand more because the tone wasn't as serious as Bayonetta.

I ended up having to savescum to beat him. Once he cloned himself it was practically impossible to recover. You get one chance by throwing the jars at him, but then you're fucked.

I thought I was in the clear after beating him, but then you get fucking Death Shudder and holy shit you're fucked 8 ways.

Yes Man Kablaam cancelling while the enemy is stunned. But seriously, charged punch for handling groups of enemies. High side kick is really good for abusing single targets while they're stunned. I feel like I would've died half as many times on hard mode if I knew how to properly handle groups with charged punch aoe, instead of boxing them all with high-tension moves like floating butterfly/stinging bee.

well if you get good at counter-hitting with charged punch, you can easily get enemies into air launch/dragon punch height. You can also charge it for a second or two on grounded enemies and get them to just enough height as well. HSK is good but there are a lot of other kick moves you'll get that serve a similar function unless you want to HSK spam to the final boss like a dirty scumbag casual
