Gameplay-wise, they had no flow compared to the original Rayman. I remember when playing them that they had this clear disconnection between every move, whether it would change your speed or feel on-rails at times.

GBA version is garbage, anon. Horrible draw distance, all large enemies are a pixelated mess, and all the music that isn't the standard theme of the region is replaced by the Mr. Dark theme.
