1-3 are comfy, 4 is good revamp of the series, 5 is fun coop game, 6 is shite, 7 is a blatant attempt to ride on the coattails of Outlast-like to dollarland.

I have to play 0 and Code Veronica and all the other spinoffs, apparently they are pretty good.

The original 1-3 are all amazing games. Some of the rest are great in their own right but the original trilogy was so iconic at the time and will probably be remembered forever.

I finally played the PC version of resident evil 1 and man I do not remember the game controlling so well or looking so good. They really touched it up for PC huh.

mate, my 7 years old laptop with GT 540M can run it just fine.

Look up the trick to lower the (crazy high) internal rendering resolution from 1440p to 720p or something, set fps limit to 30, and drop Shadows to Low.

You do know that the REmake was first made exclusively for Gamecube back in 2002? It only got re-release on all major consoles + PC back in 2014. And the "HD" port of latter machines isn't really THAT much upgraded at all.

REmake is one of the rare games rated JUST right. It is a literal pinnacle of survival-horror genre and the series.

And it is magnificent. Gorgeous as hell, atmospheric as fuck, tons and tons of replay value. Heck, even some of my "Halo chugging" friends got hooked to it via the HD re-release.

A decent franchise that stumbled a bit when Shinji Makami left capcom. But with RE7 and hopefully the RE2remake it seems to be back on track.

The movies are being rebooted with a focus on horror so that gives me hope for the future live action films.

It's a nice new turn for the series gameplay-wise, while still remaining faithful to the original RE with the survival horror vibe.
One of those games I wish there were more of. Not a 10/10 or a masterpiece, but just a good game for your money.

I am only new to the series, I watched my brothers played them when I was 4 and they scared me for life.
I was terrified of zombies and then oddly fascinated by them, especially the Nemsis I loved him.

20 years later I played RE1 and it kicked my ass.
RE3 is my current favourite, simply because I loved the Nemesis and I felt he lived up to the hype.
Actually RE1 - Code Veronica have aged fairly well and are actually really fun to play.

RE3 is my favourite but I think RE1 is the best in the series so far.
You just can't beat that mansion atmosphere.

Every fucking ending is the same

Did any of you notice how there's self destruct in most of RE endings?

Replayed RE5 and went on a binge of all the RE games I could play, because I've never touched them before. So far, I've completed RE4, RE5, REV, REV2, and a little bit of Umbrella Corps.

I'm anxious about starting REmake (no idea why), and I have RE7 and 0 HD waiting in the wings.
Thoughts so far: RE4=RE5(I played it coop)>REV2>REV.

How stupid do you have to be to keep comparing RE 7 to Outlast when you get a gun in the first 15 fucking minutes?

Because there are those that blame the action REs for the state of the franchise. Then there are others that love the action REs, but hate the classics, due to the camera, graphics and controls. So you'll always see a lot of then butt heads with each other.
